Plume

Trapani Province, Sicily, Italy

Plume Rosato is lovely, light-colored rosé wine made from 100% Nero d’Avola, harvested early, and bottled at only 11.5% alcohol. Plume is a label made by Michael Schmelzer, the winemaker at Monte Bernardi in Chianti Classico, who also makes Fuori Strada and a host of other well-known labels. Plume comes from one organically farmed vineyard in Camporeale, in the Trapani province of Western Sicily. The wine is made using the direct press method and then vinified in temperature controlled stainless steel vats where it is kept to rest for 4 months before bottling
